Sh. Ram Kishan Gupta

Sky is the limit for those who work for excellence. The same has been
personified by Late Sh. Ram Krishan Ji Gupta, Freedom Fighter, ex-MP.
and a philanthropist who led our institution to unattainable heights. Sh.
Ram Krishan Ji Gupta, popularly known as Gupta Ji, was born on May 27,
1918 at Barnala (Punjab). After getting his early education in Barnala &
Dadri, he moved first to Benaras and then to Lahore from where he did
B.A. and L.L.B.. Gupta Ji, the son of the soil, zealous and innovative by
nature, was inspired by national freedom movement, led it and went to
Jail several times. He also joined the Azad Hind Fouj and was a close
associate of Netaji Subhash Chander Boss. Guptaji was elected to Lok
Sabha twice, first in 1955 and then in 1967. As an M.P. he was a close
aide of Sh. Giani Zail Singh, former President of India and Sh. Feroz
Gupta Ji, known for his revolutionary spirit, did a lot for the
development of this most backward area. He set up ‘Dadri Education
Society’ in 1961 with the determination of enlightening the lives of
this economically, socially and educationally backward area. He set up
eight Institutions including JVMGRR College to promote education. April
14, 2009 was a very sad day in the history of Charkhi Dadri when Gupta
breathed his last, but the spirit and the light that he scattered will
always keep on guiding us.
